Professor Dingye Huang was born in September 1935 and holds an Industrial and Civil Construction degree from Tongji University. As a doctoral supervisor and a Class 1 Registered Structural Engineer, he formerly worked as the Dean of the Architectural Design and Research Institute of Tongji University, Vice President of Tongji University, Chairman of the Sub-association for Prestressed Steel Structures of China Steel Construction Society and technical adviser for Shanghai Municipal Commission of Housing and Urban-Rural Development and Science and Technology Commission of Shanghai Municipality. 

He is currently the Director of China Senior Professors Association and Standing Vice Chairman of Shanghai Senior Professors Association.

Professor Dingye Huang has devoted his life to education with his students everywhere.
